Abbie Greaves, an Edinburgh based author, released her debut novel earlier this month, written in her three years as an assistant to a literary agent in London, following her graduation from Cambridge.

The Silent Treatment follows a couple who haven’t spoken to each other in six months, despite living under the same roof, and Penguin Books describes the debut as celebrating ‘the phenomenal power of love and the importance of leaving nothing unsaid’. Attracting praise from JoJo Moyes, the Me Before You writer branded the novel ‘a remarkably assured debut', adding ‘I very much look forward to seeing what she writes next’.
